The best incredible beaches of Andalucía are in Cádiz. This province is a wonderful sun and beach destination. Here you can enjoy the best beaches and the best gastronomy.

The Coast of Cadiz or also known as the Light Coast, is formed by the Spanish Coast of the Gulf of Cadiz. This coast is formed by the provinces of Huelva and Cadiz bathed by the Atlantic Ocean.

All the beaches of Cadiz are fantastic, but the most prominent are:

1. Sajorami Beach – Zahora

It is in Barbate, in a small town called Zahora.  It is a beach of 3 kilometres of fine white sand and crystal clear water. The most admirable of this beach are the amazing sunsets that we can see from their bars and restaurants on the beach.

2. Trafalgar Lighthouse Beach – Caños de Meca

This beach is located between the town of Los Caños de Meca and Zahora beach, next to the Lighthouse of Trafalgar, hence its name. It is a beach with golden sand and crystal clear water, where in summer the waves are usually moderate. It is an unspoilt beach, and it is in an undeveloped area, so it has spectacular views and is a fairly quiet place.

 

3. Playa de los Alemanes – Tarifa

It is also known as the beach of Silver Cape, it is near Zahara de los Atunes, although it is within the city of Tarifa. It is a little crowded beach because it is far from the main population centres, although it is a very beautiful beach. Its water is so clear that it is ideal for snorkeling. This beach in Cádiz is one of the more incredible beaches of Andalucía

4. Bolonia Beach – Tarifa

It is an unspoilt beach located in Tarifa, opposite the Moroccan city of Tangier. Near it there are some natural pools that can be reached on foot. Next to the beach are the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Baelo Claudia, which you cannot miss if you visit Bolonia Beach. It also has dunes that have been declared a natural monument in 2001.

5. El Palmar Beach – Vejer de la Frontera

El Palmar is an unspoilt beach located in a white village on the Light Coast, in Vejer de la Frontera. It is one of the largest and its waters are very clean and shallow. It has several beach bars, restaurants, and shops on the beach, as well as schools for water sports such as surfing.

6. Valdevaqueros Beach – Tarifa

It is in Tarifa and it is a little urbanized beach away from large population centers. Valdevaqueros Beach is known worldwide as the best destination for windsurfing and kitesurfing in Europe. It has schools to practice these water sports. It also has several beach bars, highlighting “El Tumbao“, where you can enjoy spectacular cocktails while enjoying the views of the beach from the towel.

7. La Barrosa Beach – Chiclana

It is a beach located in Chiclana de la Frontera and extends from the cliff that separates it from the beach of Sancti Petri to the Loma del Puerco. This is a beach where historical events occurred as the Battle of Chiclana of the Spanish War of Independence in 1811. It has a long promenade, as well as shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.

8. La Caleta Beach – Cádiz

Its main attraction is its location, as it is situated in the historic centre of Cadiz. And it is located between the castles of San Sebastian and Santa Catalina. It also highlights its old spa, which is in the middle of the beach. Despite being one of the smallest beaches, it is one of the most beautiful, and has even appeared in several films such as Die Another Day.

9. Zahara de los Atunes Beach 

Also known as the Virgen del Carmen Beach, which is located near the centre of Zahara de los Atunes. It is a classic and popular beach among holidaymakers, but what makes it unique is the existence of a steamship stranded a few meters from the shore. The name of thi ship is Gibralfaro and it sank in 1902. From here you can see the rusty iron boiler sticking out over the sea.

10. Roche Beach – Conil de la Frontera

Roche is part of the city of Conil de la Frontera and is a quiet beach, located in an area of high standing. To this beach usually go the neighbors. It is characterized for being formed by seven contiguous coves with different sizes and shapes, fine sand, and clear waters.
