This will start your journey of discovering the andalusian legacy.
At our arrival in Jerez, you’ll visit the Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre: a magnificent 19th century palace wich, alongside with it’s gardens, serves as a the headquarters for the academy. You’ll visit the different rooms and installations of the palace, as well as the gardens and the different museums of the academy. Then, you’ll enjoy a fantastic show about the local kind of horsemanship that enlightens so much the city of Jerez.
After lunch in a local tapas bar, you’ll discover the history and the main monuments of the city alongside a local expert, learning about the different civilisations that lived in Jerez and what they legated to us in the city center.
To culminate our visit, you’ll enjoy a flamenco show in a typical “tabanco”, a place where you’ll enjoy the music and dances of our culture and taste the flavours of our gastronomy before returning to your hotel in El Puerto de Santa María.
Sevilla, the capital of Andalusia, is our next destination.
This full day visit to the capital is a truly immersive experience: with us, you’ll explore the Real Alcázar (Royal Alcazar), one of the oldest palaces in use of our time. The beauty of this palace is such that it was given the title of World Heritage Site. The mudejar architecture of the palace, as well as the colourful gardens and the magical courtyards that surround it make of the Real Alcazar a must-see location. Then, we’ll have lunch in a local tapas restaurant in Seville, visiting next the Plaza de España square. The Plaza de España is the most photographed place in Seville because of it’s immensity and it’s beauty, as well as the sorrounding park where the Plaza de España is located. Our visit will finish with some leisure time around the city center of the capital before going back to El Puerto and having dinner in a local restaurant, tasting different dishes of our gastronomy.
Our third day it’s the most gastonomical day of all your experience in Cadiz, so we hope you had a light breakfast!
Our first activity will be centered around the tapas culture in Cadiz, more so in the tapas from El Puerto de Santa María. You’ll walk around some of the most iconic streets of El Puerto through an itinerary of tapas bars with our expert, were you’ll enjoy many of local dishes and learn a lot about the local main ingredients, recipes and flavours in an intimate way. Then, later in the evening, you’ll get to visit a vineyard wich produces authentic Sherry wines, find out about the process of winemaking, admire the awesome landscape of the vines and, of course, you’ll experience an awesome wine tasting in the very same vineyard, all in a private environment, before going back to your hotel at El Puerto de Santa María.
On this fourth day of your trip discovering the andalusian legacy, you’ll visit one of the oldest cities in Europe: Cádiz.
Founded by the fenicians, Cadiz is considered one of the most beautiful coasts in Andalusia, as well as having a reknown cultural background because of the ancient civilisations which inhabited the place centuries ago. Arabs, romans, greeks and christians left their imprint in the streets, monuments and traditions of the city, creating a place full of life, colours, flavours and gorgeous views to the sea. The history of Cádiz is remarkable: numerous pirate attacks, an invasion of a foreign army, an earthquake that destroyed the main buildings… you’ll learn about all of that and much more with your private visit to Cádiz!
After discovering the secrets of Cádiz and having lunch in a local restaurant, you’ll head to the nautical port in order to enjoy a fantastic tailored boat trip through the waters of the Cádiz Bay, enjoying the landscape and the sea breeze.
Finally, you’ll have dinner in a local restaurant before going to rest in your hotel.
We arrived at the last day of your experience discovering the andalusian legacy, but you still have some things to enjoy!
Just after your last breakfast in the hotel, you’ll visit one of the local salt marshes to experience first hand how the fishermen in El Puerto de Santa María extract salt, seafood and fishes from the marshes in a demonstration arranged just for you. These are considered gourmet products, especially the salt, and chefs from all over the world use this salt to create salty flavoured dishes. That’s why, of course, you’ll have a special lunch menu of fresh products from the very same salt marsh, so you can test by yourself the quality of our products and why is it so unique, before taking you back to the train station / airport.
This is the end of your experience with us, we hope you enjoyed every moment in Andalusia!
