Where is it done?

In Los Barrios. The Parque de los Alcornocales is where this activity takes place. The Alcornocales Park is one of the most lush and southern forests in Europe. It is home to one of the largest indigenous cork oak populations in the world and is home to protected species such as endemic ferns and lynxes. It is a unique place in the world.

When is uncorking done?

Uncorking is not done throughout the year. It takes place during the summer months until mid-September. Since the sun begins to rise over the horizon, a large part of the inhabitants of Los Barrios get down to work and begin the day of hard work.
